Women Leading Sustainability Workshop 2024

WLI Women Leading Sustainability 2024

Please join Belinda Clemmensen, Founder of the Women's Leadership Intensive and Karen Malone, Founder of Littpark, a sustainability and ESG strategy consultancy specializing in ESG roadmaps, program design, integration and employee learning, for an all-new discussion about the important leadership role that women are playing in sustainability in organizations and communities.

As our experiences of climate change increase and sustainability becomes a core business strategy issue, we are seeing more and more evidence that leadership in sustainability is a non-negotiable skill regardless of functional area. As with many of the social issues facing us today, it is women leaders who are at the forefront of adapting, innovating and advocating for deep change in our mindsets and actions related to sustainability.

You'll walk away with:

  • A greater understanding of what the sustainability landscape looks like past, present and future, including regulatory and reporting requirements, leadership role changes, technical capability profiles, risks and impacts.

  • Connections between the sustainability landscape and the impacts and expectations relative to your role / function.

  • A broader perspective about how sustainability trends and concerns impact your organization / industry.

  • A critical thinking framework that will be valuable in navigating current and future sustainability risks.

  • Practice applying that framework to current, relevant sustainability scenarios.

If you've joined us for this workshop in the past, here's what's new this year:

  • What does Leading Sustainability mean: in terms of regulatory requirements, strategy, vision, keeping up with the research and the challenges of using our voices when it disrupts the status quo.

  • Your Role: learn about the various roles you may play in Sustainability leadership, even if you haven't identified with these roles before.

  • Scenario planning practice: as we experience climate change events closer to home, it is ever more pressing that we know how to think through various scenarios and risks that will impact our organizations.

  • Understanding the regulatory and legal landscape: new cases are being brought forward that will change the way your organization is held responsible for your climate and ESG related actions. As a leader, you need to be aware of what the current requirements are and what's coming down the pike.
