Ever look at the world, politics, the workplace, culture and just think, “no, that’s not it, that’s not the way I think we should be doing things”? Yeah, me too. That act of saying “hey, I actually disagree with that”, that is unsubscribing.
To unsubscribe is to think it through and choose to not subscribe, to not agree, with the trend, the norm, the way things are or the way they are going. It’s powerful, and we need to do it now more than ever.
Welcome to Unsubscribe. A series of videos and conversations where we’ll take a critical look at the various social constructs that surround us that we often take for granted, and ask a few questions, like;
What’s the impact of this on me personally?
How does this affect the way I engage with other people or communities?
Where did this come from? What’s the history?
Who benefits from this? Who doesn’t?
And finally, when what we are seeing does not align with our values, what do we do about it?
